Hey loves! So next week, Sunday, October 14th to be exact, we are kicking off the 7-day at-home fitness/workout challenge! I wanted to answer a few questions that I’ve gotten about what you need for the challenge, and what you can expect for those 7 days.
Is the challenge free or will I have to pay for the workouts? Yes! The challenge is 100% free. All you have to do is register with your email here, and each day I will be sending you an email for the day with your workouts & daily fit tips, motivation, some of my favorite inspirational quotes, etc. Basically, just an email that will not only provide you with helpful tips and workouts, but also one that will help lift you up and get you in that right mindset to treat your body right.
What are the workouts like? The workouts and the workout schedule of that week will be very similar to my usual Weekly Workout Schedules that I put out every Sunday. So, Monday-Wednesday-Friday will be strength training/circuit style workouts with picture demos in a printable, PDF style layout. Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday will be your cardio days, and I will send you some suggestions of cardio to do, but this is where I want you to start looking into finding something that you LOVE to do! I do really enjoy running, so that is what I normally do for those days. However, you do NOT have to run! I also love walking for exercise, spin class, or hiking. I will elaborate more in the emails, but finding something you love is key to making it a lasting habit rather than a chore you don’t want to do.
Will there be video workouts? No, not in this challenge, but they are coming 🙂
What do I need for the workouts? I made these workouts specifically so you are able to do them ANYWHERE, whether that be at home, in a park, at a gym…anywhere! So really, all I would recommend that you have is a mat and a pair of dumbbells. I have a few different sets of weights at home, from 2lbs to 12 lbs, and I would suggest that you have a lighter pair and a heavier pair. If you’re just starting out, you can do a 2lb set and a 5lb set. Target and Walmart have dumbbells that are pretty inexpensive (and a good investment if you ask me!) but if you aren’t able to get any, you can definitely still do the workouts just using your bodyweight. Remember, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good!
Where can I find the workouts? Are you going to post on your blog or in the Facebook group? The workouts are going to be exclusive to those who have registered for the challenge (sign up button below) and will be sent directly to your inbox. I will be in the Facebook group every day but you will find the workouts only in your email 🙂
What if I have a question during the challenge? I created the Fitter 7-Day Challenge Facebook Group specifically so we can have a place where we all come together EACH DAY, check in with our workouts, motivate one another, post our favorite quotes, lift each other up, and ask questions if you need help! I will be checking in there every day so that would be a great place to ask any questions if they come up!
Where can I sign up? Click the button below and you’ll be set!
Studies show people who workout with a sense of community are more likely to succeed and achieve their fitness/weight loss goals. So, the Facebook group is great for that, and you should also grab a girlfriend, sister, mom, co-worker, etc. to join you! You can keep each other accountable and even do the workouts together 😉 Send them this blog post and they can sign up too!
xo,
