When it comes to summer style, I gravitate towards looks that are casual, timeless, comfortable, yet stylish. In a word: Effortless. Soft material to stay comfortable in the summer heat and understated styles with subtle feminine touches are a must for me. Generally speaking, in the summer I live in cutoff shorts. So anything I put on, I want it to be able to pair well with one of my {many} pairs of cutoffs. But on top of that, if the piece can both pair well with my shorts and be casual AND also have the ability to be dressed up for date night or maybe a summer concert, that’s even better. The versatility and effortless style of the CeCe apparel found at Macy’s hits all of these points perfectly!
This ruffled stripe top caught my eye immediately. Sleeveless and striped are some of my favorite summer styles! I love this look tucked in with some high-waisted shorts. Another thing that is great about this top is that it can be a perfect layering piece going into the fall as weather cools down. It would be so cute with a pair of distressed jeans and a cozy cardigan! This top also comes in a couple other colors.
How fun are the tie-sleeves on this top? I’m always a fan of a cold-shoulder top, and then this one takes it up a notch with the cute ties. To really show that off, I opted for an all-black look here with black shorts as well. It’s always good, especially if you live in the scorching South, to have a go-to all-black outfit. Black is the safest bet not to show any Summer sweat, so if you’re planning on being outside a bunch and you’re worried, this is what I would do! Not to mention black is slimming and flattering on everyone, in my opinion! It also comes in pink, though, if color is more your thing!
Off the shoulder tops just scream summer to me, and the pretty embroidery on this one make it even better!! I love how the off the shoulder tops let you show off some summer tan lines. I love how the black top looks with white shorts; the white shorts really make the white embroidery on the top just pop! Then pairing it with some more bold jewelry for color is so fun. I also think this would be a great summer date night look, just wear it with some white jeans and your favorite strappy sandal heel and you’re good to go!
Shopping CeCe apparel at Macy’s is my go-to for summer styles. I know I can always find great things at Macy’s. There’s so many cute things, it’s hard to choose! I also love this dress, this romper, and this top!
