I don’t know about you, but December always seems to absolutely FLY by for me. Between shopping for Christmas presents, decorating the house, having holiday parties & normal life things, New Years Eve ALWAYS sneaks up on me. I have to consciously plan ahead for NYE, especially when it comes to what to wear (and, quite frankly, the plans themselves tend to be last minute too!) so I’ve tried to make it easy here with some good outfit ideas no matter what NYE plans you decide to go with!
The Fancy NYE Gala
A sparkly gown like this one plus a faux fur vest. Fun fact: I wore this dress as my wedding reception dress. It is so stretchy and comfortable and I know from experience that you’ll dance all night long in it 🙂 Here’s a similar one!

The NYE at Home
Let’s be real here…the New Years Eve bar & club scene is fun for a few years but at least in my experience, as the years go on, I’m slowly doing more and more low-key NYE things. Last year we just hung out with a group of friends at a friend’s house. The year before that we did the brewery scene and years in my earlier 20s I did the bar/club scenes in New York City or Atlantic City. I just don’t have that in me these days, ha!
A comfy yet fun outfit is a must for this type of New Years Eve 🙂
