My Favorite Pregnancy Podcasts

Both with this pregnancy and with my first pregnancy I really wanted to gather as much knowledge about the entire birth process as possible, and so one of my go-to ways to do that was to listen to podcasts!  I have kept that up this pregnancy and love listening both to the more informative episodes as well as birth story episodes.  It’s a mix of more holistic approaches as well as evidence-based information so I feel like you get a good mix of both. Show hosts consist of OB/GYNs, L&D Nurses, Midwives, Doulas, & Moms. Listing my favorite pregnancy podcasts for you below (in no particular order) in case you want to check any of them out!

My Favorite Pregnancy Podcasts

1. The Birth Hour – “Whether you are pregnant and looking for inspirational birth stories through your pregnancy, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, or postpartum; if you’re a first time mom or a veteran parent of multiple children, you can learn, laugh and maybe even cry a little at these moving childbirth stories from those willing to share one of the most intimate moments of their lives.”
2. Mommy Labor Nurse – “Welcome to the Mommy Labor Nurse Podcast, where we firmly believe in the power of education when it comes to giving birth! Tune in each week as we dive into pregnancy-related topics, expert interviews, and a variety of birth stories!”
3. Evidence Based Birth – “In the Evidence Based Birth® podcast, we cover the research evidence on hot topics about pregnancy and childbirth! Our mission is to help birth workers build the evidence based knowledge, skills, and power they need to protect families’ ability to give birth with empowerment. 4. All About Pregnancy & Birth – “You’re not alone in your uncertainty about this monumental life stage of pregnancy and birth. 5. Birthful – “On Birthful, working doula and former journalist Adriana Lozada talks pregnancy, birth and postpartum with top experts and new parents. Every episode distills the overload of pregnancy information down to the most relevant and useful stuff.”
6. Birth Kweens – “Birth Kweens is a wildly honest and fun dive into all things natural-pregnancy, birth, postpartum and women’s health related. It’s hosted by two Birth Kweens and friends: Karly Nuttall, a licensed midwife of 15 years, and Ali Feroah, a birth and postpartum doula of 7 years. Listen along on Thursdays as we share fun birth stories and dish out top notch info about our favorite subjects to help you realistically prepare for birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, baby care and women’s health in natural ways!”

That’s all!  There are, of course, tons of podcasts out there but these are the ones I’ve personally found both interesting and informative.  I hope this list of my favorite pregnancy podcasts is helpful!
