I am someone who cares a lot about fitness, wellness, and taking care of my body. I am also someone who understands the importance of drinking plenty of water, giving our body that hydration from the inside-out. I carry around a 42-ounce water bottle with me everywhere I go. That being said, sometimes something that can easily be neglected in our hectic daily schedules is properly hydrating our skin from the outside. Especially during summer, it is extremely easy to become dehydrated, but because we are sweating we think we might not need to moisturize because we already feel oily and don’t want to cause breakouts. But that couldn’t be further from the truth!
That’s where the new skincare line from L’Occitane en Provence called AQUA Reotier comes in with all the hydrating tools you need.
The L’Occitane en Provence AQUA Reotier line has five products.
AQUA RÉOTIER WATER GEL CLEANSER: A gentle foaming cleanser gel with calcium-rich Réotier water to remove impurities without drying skin.
My thoughts: I love that the foaming cleanser is super gentle. I feel good about treating the skin on my face with care and it does need a more gentle range of products! Also, lots of other kinds of cleansers can be drying in order to clean your face, but this does so without drying out your skin.
AQUA RÉOTIER MOISTURE PREP ESSENCE: A pre-moisturizer with calcium-rich Réotier water to give skin a first layer of moisture reinforcing the hydrating properties of the Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel and Cream.
My thoughts: I have never used a pre-moisturizer before this one, however I view it kind of like using a primer for your makeup. Using the prep essence first allows your skin to better receive and absorb the Thirst-Quenching Gel and Cream products. It also helps your skin feel more plump and evenly toned!
AQUA RÉOTIER ULTRA THIRST-QUENCHING GEL: An ultra thirst-quenching gel to recharge skin with water, leaving it glowing with moisture all day long. Non-oily formula.
My thoughts: The Thirst-Quenching Gel creates that beautiful dewy glow. I love a fresh-faced clear skin look, so this really provides that without feeling oily. It works well in combination with the cream for a just-left-the-spa kind of look!
AQUA RÉOTIER ULTRA THIRST-QUENCHING CREAM: An ultra thirst-quenching fresh melting cream to recharge skin with water, leaving it glowing with moisture and softness all day long.
My thoughts: This cream definitely leaves your skin feeling super soft and moisturized. It’s incredibly silky without feeling too heavy. The only part I didn’t like was the fragrance. It smells amazing, but a bit perfume-y for my taste. If you don’t mind a fresh, floral perfume scent with your face cream, then this will work perfectly for you! I loved after I put this on my face that I could use the rest of it in my hands, and it actually provided a nice dose of moisture for soft hands as well!
AQUA RÉOTIER FRESH MOISTURIZING MIST: A moisturizing mist for a real source of freshness that hydrates and helps revitalize the skin anywhere, anytime.
My thoughts: I love this mist! Since I often times work out at lunch, I don’t always have time to take a shower so I just do a few things to freshen up. I have added this to my routine! It hydrates and helps energize skin instantly. It’s a perfect product to keep in your bag for a pick-me-up whenever you need it.
Overall I am really loving the light, fresh, and hydrating products from the L’Occitane en Provence AQUA Reotier line and I’m looking forward to incorporate them into my skincare long term. Especially as I am getting older, having just turned 30 this year I am realizing now more than ever how important it is to really care for and hydrate your skin. It can make all the difference in your skin’s appearance, youthfulness, and vitality!
